Repeat Prescriptions

Changes to the way prescriptions are order on line:
The practice has had to change the system used to order prescriptions on line. We apologise in advance for any inconvenience.

Repeat Prescriptions

Ordering on line:.
Please use the relevant box below to order your medication on line.
Please remember to nominate a pharmacy either via our reception team or with the pharmacy itself. This will allow your prescription can be sent electronically from the practice direct to your pharmacy, saving you, the practice and the pharmacy time. (Please note: some controlled medications still need to be prescribed via a paper prescription. Work is taking place at a national level to resolve this issue in order to allow all medications to be sent electronically).

A repeat prescription which has been authorised by your doctor can be requested by using the tear-off slip/counterfoil from a previous prescription (tick the items needed) or asking the reception team for a print out of the ‘right side of your prescription’.

Local pharmacies will also organise your prescriptions for you and prescriptions can be emailed. Written notes are accepted but are not a preferred option. If a note is used it should be provided in block capitals and include a full name, address, date and a list of the items needed.

You may also order your repeat prescription online via the link at the top of this page.

The practice does not take telephone requests or encourage the use of the post for prescriptions.

Medication Reviews

Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor, nurse practitioner or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications and notification should appear on your repeat slip. Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.

Please allow two full working days for prescriptions to be processed and remember to take weekends and bank holidays into account.
